There is no free hosted plan, on purpose

brovoice is already free, and not in a crippled way — with your own Google key it does everything the paid plan does, with the same voice. Google gives a million characters a month, permanently, and a spoken line averages 26 characters. You would need around 2,000 agent turns a day to leave that free tier.

So a free hosted tier would have been us paying Google on your behalf for audio you could already get for nothing. Better to be direct: if you want to evaluate brovoice, install it and use your own key, or the offline voice, and spend nothing.

Then what is the ₹500 for?

Not having a Google Cloud account. No project to create, no API to enable, no key to mint and restrict, no billing account to attach, no key to rotate when it leaks. One sign-in and a key that works.

That is the whole product. If that is not worth ₹500 to you, the free path is genuinely better and we would rather you took it.

What happens when the characters run out

Nothing breaks. The tool drops to the offline voice, says so once, and keeps working. There is no overage charge — the limit is a limit, not a meter. You are never billed more than the subscription.

Cancelling

One click from your account page. You keep the hosted voice until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account drops to no subscription and your keys stay valid for whenever you come back. See the refund policy.

Currency and tax

₹500 for payments in India, $5 elsewhere. Prices include GST where applicable and you receive an invoice for every payment.
