Terms of service

1. The software

The brovoice command line tool is open source under the MIT licence. Those terms govern the software itself, and nothing here restricts them. These terms cover only the hosted service at brovoice.dev.

2. Accounts

You sign in with Google. You are responsible for your API keys — anyone holding one can spend your quota. Revoke a key from your account page if it leaks. Do not share keys or resell access.

3. Plans and limits

Each plan includes a monthly character allowance, listed on the pricing page. When it runs out, synthesis stops until the allowance resets. There is no overage billing: you are never charged more than your plan price.

We may rate limit or suspend an account that is clearly automated abuse, attempting to resell the service, or degrading it for other users. Where practical we will contact you first.

4. Payment

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Razorpay, and renew until cancelled. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST where applicable. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before changing a price.

5. Cancellation

Cancel any time from your account page. You keep Pro access until the end of the paid period, then the account drops to no subscription. See the refund policy.

6. Availability

The service is provided as is, with no uptime guarantee. It depends on Google Cloud, Supabase and Razorpay, and will be unavailable when they are. The tool falls back to an offline voice when the service cannot be reached, so an outage should degrade quality rather than stop your work.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may end an account for a material breach of these terms, with notice where practical and a pro rata refund of any unused paid period.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction.
